  8. INTRODUCTION

  10. The CUPS Driver Development Kit (DDK) provides a suite of
  11. standard drivers, a PPD file compiler, and other utilities that
  12. can be used to develop printer drivers for CUPS and other
  13. printing environments.  CUPS provides a portable printing layer
  14. for UNIX(r)-based operating systems.  The CUPS DDK provides the
  15. means for mass-producing PPD files and drivers/filters for
  16. CUPS-based printer drivers.

  18. The CUPS DDK is licensed under version 2 of the GNU General
  19. Public License.
